Bournemouth University is an absolutely fantastic place to go - even though I've only been to the open day for 6 hours. Those 6 hours were awesome and have inspired me to work my ass off this year.

Entry Reqs
Bournemouth expects about a BBB, depending on what course you want to do. The course I plan to do (Journalism) expects a BBB (equivalent to about 300 UCAS points) for my course; although what's even better is the university is flexible, it may accept you if you're grades do not equate to 300 points then they could accept you depending on your personality and their 'interviewing process'.

'Interview'
Whilst most Universities invite you in for an interview, Bournemouth asks that in order for you to get a place in Journalism, then rather than an interview the invite you in for a day of teaching you. That's right, teaching you. They invite you in to teach you for a day, and depending on your attitude they may accept you. Awesome.

Campus
Enough about the courses and getting a place, on to the campus. Talbot Campus (Media & Business) is awesome, for a start the campus is wireless internet throughout, so you can simply open up your 'top and connect to the
net. As well as this, the campus has an awesome Student's Union room with a loft and a main room, with a bar. Lovely. Not that that matters. Not completely. The library is huge, although on our little tour there were no books, odd, oconsidering it was a library. The accomodation we saw (which wasn't the halls, unfortunately) looked decent, and on campus, although the halls sound much better and closer to the action of the city. Much more to talk about, although really, I haven't been paid to write a big-up blog on Bournemouth. So no more.

All I can say at the moment is, astounded. For now, it's my first choice. Portsmouth to come soon.
